Have you ever wanted to do something and did you ever let the only thing hold you back be your fear of not doing it right? Have you ever been so aware of other people’s stare that you simply couldn’t get through with something? Well, you know, the thing is its okay to mess up. Because we are constantly learning by doing mistakes.
There are always going to be people who are waiting for you to fall. They are always on the look-out for a time you are going to fail. They will be agog to applaud every time you make a mistake. They will be waiting for a chance to say “Ah-Ha!” by pointing at their finger at you, as if you were born to be perfect. They will be suppressing a wicked smile all throughout and when you mess up they will erupt with mockery. And the problem will be if you are not ready for it. You have to be strong when that moment comes. You can’t let their menacing laughter shrink you down or set you running the way you came. You have to be able to take it. You should be able to absorb the heat, stand up firmly and keep going.
You are always live on stage. There is always going to be an audience. But you have to go out there and take a risk sometimes. You have to put yourself in an uncomfortable situation to make you comfortable. You have to get scared to become fearless. And while you are doing that you can’t expect everyone to close their eyes and turn away. And you can’t wait for the coast to get clear. Because the coast will never be clear.
So, don’t let that fear, uncertainty and lack of self confidence thwart yourself. You can’t let them hold you back from doing what you dream of.
So, even if you do fall, remember, it’s okay.
“The greatest accomplishment is not in never falling, but in rising again after you fall.”
