Life Is All About Being Thankful For

thankful_fundrazr-e1385416479443How many times have you been brushed by death? Do you keep count or have you lost count? We may or may not know when we are about to die. But we do know that death is inevitable. It might have been that time when you were walking on the road and a coconut from a palm tree nearly missed you by an inch. Or it might have been the time when you were in a car and got almost crashed into another vehicle. Or It might have been when you were in a lift and it almost broke down. It might have been when you were asleep, and you almost stopped breathing. But you never know. You never know any of these times.

That’s why you have to be thankful. You have to be thankful for all the little things in life. All the good things that happen in your life continuously without you even realizing it. If you are not being thankful, then, you don’t have the right to complain. Because there are a million things in life that is worth being thankful for, than some little things that you need to complain about.

Just think about it. Think about it at the end of the day. Think about it before you go to sleep. How much blessed you are. Ponder about those tiny things that happen. For instance, the time you switch on a lamp with water on your hands and you didn’t get a shock. Or the time you slipped and fell but didn’t injure yourself in anyway. Or the time you got on a plane and landed safely.

Think about how many people there are who care about you even if you don’t know they exist. Think about how many people who you have influenced without even realizing it. Think about how many opportunities Allah has given you even when you didn’t see it. Think about how much Allah has provided you. And yet you don’t have “time” to say Alhamdhulillaahi. You don’t have time to pray when you spend endless hours utilizing what he has given you. We cannot spare five minutes to recite a few pages when we spend hours indulged in reading novels. We should be ashamed of ourselves, shouldn’t we?

Always say Alhamdhulillaahi. Always be thankful.
